    Dental Implants in Simple Language

Imagine dental implants as new roots for the missing teeth. They are normally constructed of a sturdy yet safe material known as titanium. These “roots” are placed into your jawbone by a small operation performed by a dentist. This makes it super strong and sturdy, just like the root of your natural teeth. Once this implant is firmly secured, the dentist places a little thing on top called an abutment. This is like a connector. Then, a new artificial tooth (it may be a single crown or a series of teeth in a bridge or denture) is secured to that abutment.

The three main parts of a dental implant

    Implant Post (Fixture)

This is the titanium screw surgically placed into the jawbone. It acts as the root of the artificial tooth, providing a stable and long-lasting foundation.

    Abutment

The abutment is a small connector placed on top of the implant post. It serves as the link between the implant and the final crown or denture.

    Crown (Prosthetic Tooth)

The crown is the visible part of the implant, custom-made to match the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth. It’s attached to the abutment to complete your smile.

    Dental Implant Process

Step 1: Planning & Insertion of Implants

In the beginning, X-rays or 3D scans are used to look closely at your jawbone for the most accurate plan of action. When you are ready, a titanium screw called an implant is placed into your jaw to hold your new tooth firmly in place.

Step 2: Recovery & Bonding to the Implant

Following the placement of an implant, the process of osseointegration will help the implant heal successfully. For about 3-6 months after implant placement, your jawbone attaches to the titanium implant, making it strong and steady. A person may use a temporary tooth or denture during healing to maintain how they look and function.

Step 3: Abutment and the Crown

After the implant binds to the bone, an abutment is connected to it. As soon as the gums recover, your dentist will make impressions for your permanent and natural crown, bridge, or denture. Afterward, the brand-new restoration is bonded to the supporting abutment, giving you a fully functional smile.

    Our Services

    Teeth In A Day

This treatment lets you get new teeth in just one visit. You come in with missing or damaged teeth and leave the same day with a full set of beautiful, working teeth.

    Single Implants

A single implant is used to replace one missing tooth. It’s a small metal post placed in your jawbone that holds a crown (fake tooth) on top. It looks and works just like a real tooth.

    All-on-Four Implants

This is a way to replace all your upper or lower teeth using just four implants. The implants hold a full set of new teeth in place, giving you a strong and natural-looking smile.

    Overdentures

These are special dentures that fit over a few remaining teeth or implants. They snap into place for a better hold and feel more secure than regular dentures.

    Custom Dentures

Dentures are fake teeth you can take out and put back in. They help you eat, speak, and smile if you’ve lost some or all of your teeth.

    FAQ

    • They’re Good for Your Mouth: Unlike other methods of replacing teeth, implants do not harm the neighboring healthy teeth. They also keep your jawbone strong. When you lose a tooth, the bone beneath can begin to be lost. Implants help prevent this. In addition, they are also easier to clean than other alternatives.
    • They Help You Talk Clearly: It can sometimes be difficult to speak clearly if one has loose dentures. Since implants are stable, you can talk normally.
If you lack some teeth but overall you are in good health, you might be a good candidate for dental implants. You need to have enough bone in your jaw, as well as healthy gums. You also have to be willing to take good care of your implants by brushing and flossing regularly.
